OTTAWA – Jennifer Purdy has been nominated as the Ontario Greens’ candidate in Kanata–Carleton.
Purdy is a medical doctor with a focus in evidence-based preventative medicine, a mother of three, and a veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces. Her 23-year career with the CAF included postings as a family physician in Trenton, Petawawa, and Ottawa.
“We are in an affordability crisis. We have a housing crisis. And, we have a healthcare crisis,” said Purdy. “These are all thanks in part due to decisions made by the corrupt Ford government. If we don’t kick them to the curb, these issues will only get worse as we are left on our own to deal with Trump tariffs and more.”
“Jennifer understands that the only way forward for Ontario is to elect local champions to represent their communities,” said Ontario Greens’ leader Mike Schreiner. “As MPP for Kanata–Carleton, she’ll take decisive action to address the issues top of mind for her community and people across the province.”
Purdy is an experienced political campaigner and candidate, having run for the Green Party of Canada in Kanata–Carleton in the 2019 and 2021 federal elections.
