The Kanata-Carleton Provincial Constituency Association of the Green Party of Ontario is delighted to announce that Pat Freel has been selected as our candidate for the upcoming Ontario election.
KANATA, May 1, 2022 — The Kanata-Carleton Green Party announced today that its candidate for the upcoming Ontario election will be Patrick (Pat) Freel.
Pat was born and raised in Kanata-Bridlewood, and is one semester away from completing his undergraduate degree in Environmental Economics and Public Policy at the University of Ottawa.
As a student of economics, I can see that what the Ontario PCs have planned for this province is not sustainable and underestimates the potential of the Ontario economy. - Pat Freel
Pat has been active with the Greens since he was 18. Starting as a canvasser and road-sign installer, he worked his way into positions including volunteer coordinator, campaign manager and chief financial officer. When he was 21 years old, Pat represented the Greens as the candidate in Ottawa-West Nepean for the 2018 provincial election, after which he earned his diploma in Horticultural Industries at Algonquin College.
“The Green Party of Ontario is the only provincial party prioritizing the climate when addressing the issues facing the province. Protecting biodiversity while supporting people and small businesses has to be our number one priority, and I’m excited to work alongside our leader Mike Schreiner in achieving this.” - Pat Freel
Kanata-Carleton Greens are ready to represent the outstanding Green policies to the voters in the upcoming election, whether in the fall or at the legally scheduled time in 2023. We look forward to winning your vote.
