The Green Party of Canada is electing new members to its Federal Council, which governs the GPC on behalf of all members. This is separate from the ongoing leadership contest. All current GPC members are eligible to vote.
We encourage all members to think about how we want our Green Party to grow; to learn about the candidates, council and issues; and then to vote. To help you, please click below for short submissions by each of the candidates for the following positions:
Vice President - English: John Kidder and Darcie Lanthier
GPC Fund Representative: Dave Bagler and Kate Storey
Ontario Representative: Sam Cosentino; Adrian Currie; Eric Gilmour; Andrew Hazen; Eric Larouche; Michael Pilling; Lorraine Rekmans and Henry Wright
You can learn more about the Federal Council election here. We strongly encourage you to participate in shaping Federal Council with an informed vote. Note that the GPC uses preferential ballots for council elections, so rank as many candidates as you feel comfortable doing. If you are 29 years of age or younger, you are also eligible to vote for the Young Greens Council. You can learn more about that here.
If you would like to learn more about the candidates, you can watch the following debates:

You should have received an email ballot or a postcard with voting instructions. You may need to check your spam or junk mail. If your membership has lapsed, you will need to renew and request a ballot. If you have not received your ballot, or need assistance, please email governance@greenparty.ca.
