Join Kanata-Carleton Greens for some Spring Cleaning in the Capital.
The Cleaning the Capital campaign is a citywide cleanup held every spring and fall. Residents come together as a community and combine efforts to make our city clean and green. Join volunteers to clean along the Saturday, May 6 from noon to 2 pm.
Get outside, socialize and do some good.
We'll be collecting litter along the TransCanada Trail between Terry Fox Dr and Eagleson Rd. We’ll meet on the Trail near Eagleson where paths join from Rothesay Drive (between 102 and 104, opposite Old Colony Road) on the north side or Terence Matthews Crescent (between Units 100 and 120) on the south side - see the blue pin on the map below.
Just look for the Green shirts & signs. We'll supply gloves and bags, but feel free to bring your own too. And bring water and sun protection to suit the weather.
Driving: Park along Rothesay near Old Colony Rd (north side of the Trail) or along Terence Matthews Cr (south side of the Trail).
Transit: OC Transpo routes 161 & 164 along Eagleson Rd or routes 161 & 168 along Rothesay Dr. Please check OC Transpo for routes and schedules.
Walking, rolling, cycling: Hey, it's the TransCanada Trail!
Rain Date: Sunday, May 7, Noon to 2 pm
